New Login Experience for ExpertConnect: Now Using John Deere Okta
Discover how the new John Deere Okta login system enhances your ExpertConnect experience with improved security and ease of use.
We’ve recently upgraded the login process for ExpertConnect to enhance security and streamline access across John Deere platforms. You’ll now log in using Okta, which connects ExpertConnect to your John Deere credentials—either your XID, a JohnDeere.com account (such as one used for Operations Center), or RACF ID.
Managers can assist users during this transition by adding their John Deere IDs to the system. This helps streamline onboarding and ensures users can authenticate successfully.

ExpertConnect Login Help: Using Okta with Your John Deere Account
Logging In for the First Time
If you haven’t yet connected your ExpertConnect account to a John Deere ID, you’ll need to log in using your mobile number first. This step ensures your account is properly linked before transitioning to Okta-based login.
When you visit the John Deere login page, on your User Profile, you’ll be redirected to the Okta authentication screen. Follow the prompts to log in using your credentials.
After connecting your John Deere ID, you can access ExpertConnect using:
- Your John Deere XID
- Or a JohnDeere.com account
- Or a RACF ID
Tips for a Smooth Login Experience
- Always use your John Deere credentials (XID, JohnDeere.com account, or RACF ID).
- If you’re using a shared device, make sure you’re logged into Windows with your own account.
- If prompted, complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using your Okta app.

My RAC/X ID is showing as already taken
This probably happened due to an attempt to log using the X ID before logging.
Open a ticket with help@expertconnect.johndeere.com and provite the user JDID, email and/or phone number.
Please advise users to first log with their phone numbers and then going to their user profile > John Deere Login to Connect their X. After that they will be able to log using their ID.
You See the Wrong Account After Logging In
This usually means your profile is linked to the wrong XID.

What to do:

- Clear your browser cache or try a different browser.
- Log back in using your phone number.
- Confirm your XID is active by visiting the https://directory.johndeere.com.
- If you’re already logged in, go to your User Profile in ExpertConnect and click Reconnect to link your JD ID. Delete the XID that are not yours.
- If the issue persists, contact support and provide your XID so they can verify and correct your profile.
