This guide walks John Deere dealerships through the process of integrating ExpertConnect™ with John Deere Expert Services. The integration streamlines service estimate communications, customer approvals, and workflow management, leveraging both platforms for a seamless experience.
Step 1: Finalize Service Estimate in Expert Services
- The technician completes the Service Estimate in the Expert App web page.
- Confirm the estimate with your C&CS manager as per your dealership’s process.
- Communicate the Service Estimate to the end customer. Traditionally, this is done via email with a PDF attachment
Step 2: Initiate ExpertConnect Integration
- In ExpertConnect navigate to the Admin tab, click on Integrations
- Enable the JD ExpertApp
- Enable the JD ExpertApp
- In the Expert App web page, click the Actions button.
- Select Send SMS (may be labeled “Send to ExpertConnect”).
- The Expert App sends a request to ExpertConnect and displays a confirmation with an EC Ticket Number.
- The EC Ticket Number is documented in the Expert App (often as a hyperlink for future reference)
Step 3: Manage Communication in ExpertConnect
- Access ExpertConnect using the ticket hyperlink or by navigating directly.
- Initiate SMS or phone communication with the customer through the EC Ticket.
- ExpertConnect handles all communication processes, including sending the Service Estimate PDF or a link to the report via SMS
